HEPHZIBAH, Ga. - Mrs. Vivian Singleton Smith of Stafford Street entered into rest on Thursday, October 27, 2011 at her residence. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Robert L. Martin officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Olive Memorial Garden. Mr. Smith, a native of Keysville, GA, was a graduate of Boggs Academy and was a graduate of Johnson C. Smith University. For several years, she was employed with the Richmond County Board of Education having taught at Levi White Elementary and Tubman Middle Schools. She was an instructor at Augusta Area Technical College. She was also a member of Walker Grove Baptist Church. Survivors are two sons, Floyd V. (Janet) Smith, Greensboro, NC, Garrick (Monique) Smith, Snellville, GA; two brothers, John M. Singleton, David L. Singleton, Augusta; sister-in-law, Elizabeth (Charlie P. ) Jenkins, Augusta ; five grandchildren; and other relatives.
