NORTH AUGUSTA, S. C. - Miss Denise Iaukea Hickson, 20, of Wren Road, entered into rest October 23, 2011 at University Hospital. Funeral services will be held 12noon Saturday, October 29, 2011 at Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church, North Augusta of which the Rev. Arthur L. Kemp pastor and the Rev. Jimmy Dyson eulogist. Miss Hickson, a native of Aiken County was a student at USCA. She was a 2009 graduate of North Augusta High School and a member of Mealing Grove Missionary Baptist Church where she sang in the choir. Survivor include her mother, Betty Nathaniel Hickson; her father, Melvin L. Butler; 1 sister, Edwina (Leon) Dorch; 2 brothers, Phillip Butler and Tony Butler; grandmother, Sarah Elizabeth Nathaniel; aunt, Annie (Luther) Tyson; uncles, James (Rosetta) Nathaniel, Milledge (Loretta) Nathaniel, Ernest (Anka) Holloman, Christopher (Wanda) Holloman, Herbert (Yolanda) Rowe and Preston (Mary) Sykes; a host of other relatives and friends.The family sends special thanks to the Dr's and staff at University Hospital and GHSU (MCG).
