John Willis "Red" Ledbetter (BELVEDERE, S.C.)

BELVEDERE, S.C. - Funeral Services for Mr. John Willis "Red" Ledbetter, 84, of Monterey Ave, who entered rest September, 18, 2011, will be conducted Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Posey Funeral Chapel. Chaplain Dexter Lambert officiating. Interment in Pineview Memorial Park with Veterans Honors. Mr. Ledbetter was a native of Alabama, having made Belvedere his home for the past 59 years. He retired as a Crane Operator with E.I. DuPont at the Savannah River Site. Mr. Ledbetter was a former member of the North Augusta Lyons Club, was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing music with several bands over the years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Dot Ledbetter. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Tracy and Belinda Ledbetter, Belvedere; three daughters and sons-in-law, Melita and Clint Watts, Grovetown, GA, Donna and Michael Arnold and Becky and Rodger Edmonds, all of North Augusta; a sister, Betty Evers, Reeltown, AL; 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Mike Arnold, Chris Barnes, John Sharpe, T. J. Sharpe, Tyler Ledbetter and Ian Watts. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 7 until 9.
