WRENS, Ga. - Mrs. Evydell Williford Lamb, of Hwy 1, went to be with her lord on September 18, 2011. She was the beloved wife of the late Clarence Lamb. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M., Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at Jordan Chapel Church of God with Revs. David O. Jones and Dorothy Morris officiating. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Jeff Lamb, Dwight Reese, Anthony Lamb, Jordan Bowen, Scott Stamper, Heath Clark, Chris Callaway and Billy Williford. Mrs. Lamb was born August 9, 1923 in Glascock County and was the daughter of the late Nesbitt and Mollie Williford. She was a homemaker and lived in Jefferson County for many years. Mrs. Lamb was a member of Jordan Chapel Church of God in Edge Hill where she served as church secretary for over 40 years. Survivors include her sons, Earl Lamb and his wife, Lucille of Louisville, GA, Harold Lamb and his wife, Cathy of Edge Hill, GA; daughter, Christy Williams and her husband, Joe of Gibson, GA; sister, Velma Caldwell of Stone Mtn., GA; grandchildren, Angela Barrow and husband, Shane, Jeff Lamb, Alison Stamper and husband, Scott, Sandra Williams, Bobby Lamb, Megan Williams, Morgan Clark and husband, Heath and Kristy Williams; great-grandchildren, Blake Lamb, Jordan Bowen, Lyn Barrow, Jaden Usry, Jaxon Usry, Brinley Irby, Sydney Stamper, Ayden Barrow, Hunter Barrow. Mrs. Lamb was also preceded in death by her son, Larry Lamb; sisters, Eula Reese, Mary Williford; brothers, Frank Williford, Walden Williford and Tom Williford. On behalf of the Lamb family, they would like to give a special thanks to caregivers, Marian Neal and Debbie Perry and to the staff of Gibson Health and Rehabilitation.
