Evelyn Holsonback Rutland (GLOVERVILLE, S.C.)

GLOVERVILLE, S.C. - Mrs. Evelyn Holsonback Rutland, 91, of Gloverville, wife of the late Melvin Frank Rutland, Jr., entered into rest on Tuesday, September 20th, 2011. Mrs. Rutland was born in and a lifelong resident of Aiken County and was a daughter of the late Ransom and Emily Harrison Holsonback. She was a homemaker, a member of the Gloverville First Baptist Church and the Dorcas Sunday School Class. Mrs. Rutland enjoyed fishing with her family at Lake Murray and working word puzzles. In addition to her husband and parents, family members include her children, Bobby Wayne Rutland (Deborah), Gloverville, Linda B. Swearingen (Bill), Warrenville, Virginia R. (Ginger) Talbert (Larry M.), Aiken, Ray Rutland, Gloverville, the late Mary Jean Rutland and the late Betty Ann Rutland; grandchildren, Patricia R. Tiwari (Ajay), Keith Swearingen, Robby E. Grandle (Wanda), Scotty Grandle (Robin), Stuart Talbert and John Talbert; great-grandchildren, Jayden Tiwari, Avery Tiwari, Natalie Tiwari, Matt Swearingen, Kyndal Sitler (Thomas), Skylan Grandle, Max Grandle, Matthew Talbert, Jared Talbert, John Worth Talbert and Graham Talbert; a great-great-grandchild, Kadence Grandle and her (four legged children,) Pablo and Bridget. A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted on Thursday, September 22nd, 2011, at 11 o'clock in the Hatcher Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jimmy Napier officiating. Interment will follow in the Langley Cemetery, Langley, SC. Pallbearers will be Al Norris, Jr., Richard Swearingen, Ajay Tiwari, Ronnie Duncan, Harry Barton and Dale Rutland. Bobby, Linda and Ginger would like to express their sincere and heartfelt appreciation and gratitude for the care that their precious brother, Ray, provided to his mom over the last eight years.
