APPLING, Ga. - Mr. Johnny Nathaniel Morris, 83, husband of the late Hazel (Jackie) Gay Morris, entered into rest Sunday, September 11, 2011 at Doctors Hospital, Augusta, GA. Funeral services will be held 11:00AM, Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at Silver Run Baptist Church with the Rev. Jerry Pitman officiating. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in the Harlem Memorial Cemetery. Mr. Morris was a native of McDuffie County and a WW II Army Veteran. He retired from Southern Machine and Tool and a member of Silver Run Baptist Church. Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and John Fetter, Appling; two sisters, Iris and Inez; one brother, Charles; granddaughter, Genie Boulineau and husband, Keith; grandsons, Donnie Fetter, Johnny Morris and Mike Morris; great grandson, Zachary Woodard; great-great grandson, Aiden Woodard and special dear friends, Earl and Alice Watts. He was preceded in death by his son, Johnny Wayne Morris. Mr. Morris was a devoted husband and a loving and sweet father and grandfather. Pallbearers will be Donnie Fetter, Mike Morris, Keith Boulineau, Zachary Woodard, John Hinnant and Jeff Neal. Visitation will be this evening from 6-8PM at Starling Funeral Home, Hwy 78, Harlem, GA.
