STAPLETON, Ga. - Mrs. Annette Smith Hobbs, 77, beloved wife of Mr. Barton Hobbs, died Thursday, September 8, 2011, in the University Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, September 10, in the Zoar United Methodist Church with the Rev. Bill Seaman and Rev. Michael Defore officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Mrs. Hobbs was a native of Warren County, but has lived in Stapleton for many years. She had retired from the Thomson Company, and also as a school bus driver. She was a member of Zoar United Methodist Church. Survivors include her husband, Mr. Barton Hobbs, Stapleton; her two sons, Mark (Robbin) Hobbs, Warrenton; Mike (Judy) Hobbs, Thomson; her two brothers, Jimmy Smith, Camak; Glen Smith, Gray; her four grandchildren, Ben Hobbs, Jordan Hobbs, Ethan Hobbs, and Elizabeth Hobbs. Pallbearers will be David Smith, Joey Smith, Jamie Smith, Jody Hobbs, Wayne Duffie, and Smith Dickson Friends may call at the residence or at the Curtis Funeral Home.
