AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mr. James Allen, loving husband of Mrs. Betty J. Allen, of Augusta, died at his home on Tuesday, September 06, 2011. He was 79 years old. The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 10, 2011 at 11:00 am at The Poteet Funeral home, 3465 Peach Orchard Road, Augusta. The funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, September 10, 2011 at noon in the funeral home chapel. The committal service, with military honors, will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
