BROOKLYN, N.Y. - Robert W. Pendergrass, a native of Augusta, GA, entered into rest Tuesday, August 23, 2011. Memorial services for Mr. Pendergrass will be announced later. Robert was a beloved son, father and uncle. He was born to the late William and Camille Pendergrass. He attended Steed Street Elementary School and Haines Normal and Industrial Institute. Robert was an active member of Antioch Baptist Church. He was a decorated World War II veteran and an employee of the US Postal Service for over thirty years. Robert was always musically inclined and played the vibraphone with many professional groups. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Frankie P. Wynn and his son, Robert Pendergrast. He is survived by a devoted son, James Pendergrast of New York, NY; a caring niece, Francine Wynn of Augusta, GA; and a host of cousins and friends in the Augusta area. W. H.
