AUGUSTA, Ga. - Our dad, M C Hartley, went home to be with his Heavenly Father on Saturday, August 27, 2011. Dad was loved by all and never met a stranger. Graveside services with military honors will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, September 2, 2011 at Westview Cemetery with Dr. Mark Sterling officiating. Mr. Hartley was a Veteran and served our country in World War II. He was also an entrepreneur, selling barbecue and boiled peanuts. Mr. Hartley also owned Hartley's Grocery and Hartley's Seafood. Mr. Hartley is survived by his six sons, Charles Hartley (Annette), Mack Hartley (June), Bobby Hartley (Anne), Tim Hartley, Lee Hartley (Robyn), and Joe Hartley; his sister, Blanche Collins; and also by his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mr. Hartley was preceded in death by his wife, Olie Powell Hartley. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening, September 1, 2011 from 6:30 to 8:30 PM.
