PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - Randolph Evans, (68) entered into rest August 1, 2011 at Nazareth Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Randy as he was affectionately called was born August 17, 1942 in Augusta, Ga. to the parents of Rufus M. Evans and Jennie Evans. He was educated at Charles T. Walker Elementary School and Lucy Laney High School, before moving to Philadelphia. He was a decorated a Vietnam War veteran. During his service in Vietnam, he received the Bronze Star. Randy was married to the late Carole Belcher. He is survived by two daughters, Kellie (Lance) Johnston and Randi Evans, Philadelphia; four grandchildren, Kaelin, DeMari, Dalon and Koren, Philadelphia; a devoted sister, Betty E. Barnes, Newark, N.J.; three aunts, Ruth M. Hicks, West Babylon, N.Y., E. Dorothy Wiley, Anetia M. Hammond; three nieces, Sabrina E. Brown, Kim (Kirk) Thomas and Shellene (Raymond) Kelso, Atlanta, Ga.; one nephew, Jason (Tara) Barnes, Charleston, S.C.; and a host of family and friends.
