CLEARWATER, S.C. - Memorial Services for Mrs. Lucille Dimsdale Hughes, 99, formerly of Clearwater Village, who went to be with our Lord, July 28, 2011, will be conducted Monday afternoon at 3 o'clock from Mid-Valley Baptist Church, 2534 Jefferson Davis Highway, Rev. Jim Kirk officiating. Mrs. Hughes was a native of Conyers, Georgia, having made Clearwater her lifelong residence. She was a member of Mid-Valley Baptist Church and retired was a homemaker. Mrs. Hughes was the wife of the late David B. Hughes, Sr. The family would like to express their appreciation to the Staff of Carriage Hills Nursing Home for their extended care and love for the past seven years. Survivors include a son, Charles L. Dimsdale, Clearwater; a daughter, Mary Dimisdale Bartley, Clearwater; six grandchildren, Debra Dimsdale Padgett, Mike Dimsdale, Christy Coleman, Vickie Shumpert, Sandra Dimsdale Nuss and Joey Bartley; thirteen great-grandchildren and eleven great-great grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the church Monday afternoon from 1:30 until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials may be made to Mid-Valley Baptist Church, P. O. Box 1323, Langley, SC 29834.
