WILLISTON, S.C. - Funeral services for Rena Elizabeth Porter Hair of Williston, SC will be held eleven a.m. Tuesday, July 19, 2011 at the Folk Funeral Home Chapel, Williston with the Reverends Floyd Dukes, Tom Baker and Dr. Michael Blankenship officiating; burial will be in The Williston Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Tuesday. Memorials may be sent to The Williston Cemetery Fund, P.O. Box 367, Williston, SC 29853. Mrs. Rena passed away Saturday, July 16, 2011. Born in the Edisto Community of Williston, SC, she was a daughter of the late Charlie Monroe Porter and Minnie Rouis Porter and was married to the late H. C. Hair. She was a member of Williston First Baptist Church and the Rebekah Sunday School class where she served as treasurer for more than 40 years. She retired as a seamstress from Skyline Manufacturing Company. She was known throughout Williston and surrounding areas for her love of baking; she was famous for her thin layer chocolate cakes. She was always concerned about her children and family who she loved so dearly. Survivors include her daughter, Melba "Nan" Miner of North Augusta, SC; son, Jerry (Annette) Hair of Williston; grandchildren, Benji (Cindy) Smith, Suzanne (Gregg) Creech, Terri Hair, Kinley Hair; great grandchildren, Morgan Creech, Whitney (Casey) Rogers, Robin (Brian) Mathewson and Ashley Smith; great great granddaughter, Samantha Mathewson. She was preceded in death by a son, Terry Hair; sisters, Connie Kinard, Quilla Hall, Norma Bolen Smith, Pearl Givens; brothers, Charlie Hubert Porter, Robert A. "Tick" Porter, John P.
