AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mr. Charlie Johnson, 75, entered into rest on Saturday, June 18, 2011, in Golden Living Center- Augusta. After retiring from Boral Bricks as a forklift operator, he began a career in landscaping. Mr. Johnson accepted Christ at an early age and joined McElmurray Spring Branch Baptist Church. He leaves to cherish fond loving memories with his wife of more than 40 years, Melba W. Johnson; daughters, Ella Jordan and husband, Steve Jordan of McBean, Ga., Sharon D. Johnson of Augusta, Ga.; brothers and sisters-in-law, Wesley and Shirley Johnson of St. Petersburg, Fl., Gilbert and Azalean Johnson of Augusta, Ga.; sister, Vivian Henderson of St. Petersburg, Fl. Other survivors include grandchildren: Donnell Jordan and wife, Glenda, Ronnie Jordan and wife, Tameka, and Charles Jordan all of Augusta, Ga.; great-grandchildren; Steve and Darius; sister-in-law, Joyce Wilson of Raleigh, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
