AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Lela Gertrude Mack of Aiken Street, entered into rest Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at Select Speciality Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, June 18, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. from Mulberry CME Church, 5129 Double Branches Road, Lincolnton, GA 30817, Reverend George Glenn, Pastor and Reverend Norman Sherman, Eulogist. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Lela was born in Lincoln County Georgia where she attended public schools. She was a member of Mulberry CME Church. She is survived by her son,George Walton, Jr. of Stuart, FL; daughters, Rachel (Rev. Norman) Sherman and Patricia Walton both of Augusta, GA; sisters, Ethel Williams, Mandy (Henry) Williams, Joann (Sherman) Norman, Glenda (Jessie) Elam all of Lincolnton, GA and Laverne Smith of Newark, NJ; brothers, Douglas (Inez) Searles, L. M. (Loutricia) Searles both of Lincolnton, GA and Roy W. Searles of Augusta, GA; sisters-in-law, Drucilla Walton of Augusta, GA and Jackie Searles of Rocky Mountain, NC; brothers-in-law, Lawrence Elam of Lincolnton, GA, Joe Harden of Washington, GA, Robert Mack of Atlanta, GA and Whitfield Mack of Orangeburg, SC; six grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
