WILLIAMSTON, S.C. - Fred Lee Davenport, 82, of 1010 Gossett Drive, widower of Alice Hill Davenport, died Wednesday, June 15, 2011, at AnMed Health Medical Center. Born in Greenville County, he was a son of the late Raymond Perry and Bessie Coker Davenport. He retired from Mt. Vernon in Williamston and was a lifetime member of Big Creek Baptist Church. Surviving are son, Dr. Michael L. Davenport (Beth), of North Augusta; daughter, Linda Spruell (David), of Williamston; brother, Charles Davenport, of Williamston; grandchildren, Casey Todd (Roger) and Joel Davenport; and great-grandchildren, Austin Todd and Haley Todd. Visitation will be 11:30 a.m. - 2 p.m. Saturday, June 18, 2011, at Big Creek Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. Saturday at the church with the Rev. Mitch Gambrell and the Rev. Dr. Michael L. Davenport officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery. The family is at the home. Memorials may be made to the Big Creek Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, P. O.
