AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Bessie E. Miles of Windmill Lane entered into rest on Monday, June 13, 2011 at her residence. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 18, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Beulah Brove Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Sam Davis officiating. Burial will be at Bellevue Memorial Garden. Mrs. Miles, a native of New Orleans, lived several years in Memphis and Chicago before moving to Augusta twenty five years ago. After many years of service she retired as an LPN. She was a member of Beulah Grove Baptist Church. Survivors are her daughter, Jawannia H. (Roosevelt J., M.D.) Stallings, Evans, GA; one son, John S. Miles, Atlanta; devoted nephew, William (Anna Bell) Terrell, M.D., Memphis, TN; sister, Juanita White Terrell, San Bernadino, CA; nine grandchildren, Howard (Rachel) Stallings, Kenyatta Williams, Jarmaur (Starla) Stallings, Sincerai Stallings, Hassan Stallings, John Helmick, Cindy Helmick, James Archer, Christina Archer; three great grandchildren, Leilani Stallings, Kailana Stallings, Kenyatta Williams, Jr.; and several cousins.
