AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mr. Edward Gerard Baker, 59, of Meadowbrook Drive entered into rest on Thursday, June 2, 2011 at University Hospital . Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June7, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Sam Davis and Rev. Clyde Hill Sr. officiating. Mr. Baker, a native of Augusta, was a 1970 graduate of Lucy Laney High School and a 1972 graduate of Augusta Area Technical College. He retired after forty years of service from Savannah RIver Site/Westinghouse. He was a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church. Survivors are his devoted wife, Diann D. Baker; two daughters, Keyauni L. Baker, Kortisha Y. Baker, Augusta; five brothers; Mckinley (Ruby) Baker, Jr., Arthur H. Baker, Robert (Samuella) Baker, Augusta, Calvin (Yolanda) Baker, Peachtree City, GA., Rev. Leon (Connie) Baker, Oak Ridge, TN., Five sisters, Edith (Joseph) Myers, Willie Mae Kelly, Maulean (Joe) Collins, Remel Baker, Augusta, Sylvia (Keith) Tolen, Columbia, SC. Mother-in-law; Mrs. Elease Davis, Augusta; Five sisters-in-law, Lula Payne, Patricia D. Love, Augusta, GA., JoAnn Moore, San Antonio, TX, Ann D. Kimble, Bloomfield, New Jersey, Trudy Davis, Covington, GA. One brother-in-law, Collace Davis Jr., Augusta, GA. Three Aunts, Lillian McClattie, Mary Smith, Ethel Baker, Augusta. Two uncles, John Davis, Atlanta, GA., Jake Fowler, College Park, GA. A favorite niece Sanaa Alease Lawson and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
