TALLADEGA, Ala. - Robert (Bob) Rabun, 81 of Talladega, passed away Saturday, May 28, 2011 at his residence. Memorial Services were held Wednesday in Talladega, AL. Internment Services will be Friday, June 3, 2011 at 3 p.m. EST at Westview Cemetery in Thomson, GA. The family will be receiving friends at Curtis Funeral Home beginning at 1 p.m. EST. Bob who is also known as (Bob White), retired from the U.S. Air Force after 20+ years of service. He is survived by his two daughters Richele Latosinski and husband Waldemar of Sanford, NC, and Stacy Pettus and husband David of Ashland, AL, two sisters Sara Fast of Longmont, CO, and Dell Rabun of Senoia, GA, two grandchildren Ashley Hartley and Abby Hartley both of Heflin, AL, one great grandson Kason Moore of Heflin, AL. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Edna (Polly) Rabun of over twenty years. After retiring from the military where he served as a fire chief, Bob lived in Talladega for 34 years where he enjoyed gardening, restoring old cars, and attending auto races, especially at (The Hornet's Nest) here in Talladega. The family requests that all flowers be sent to Curtis Funeral Home in Thomson, GA.
