Thomas S. Bryant (CROSS HILL, S.C.)

CROSS HILL, S.C. - Airman First Class Thomas S. Bryant, 71, United States Navy Retired, of Cross Hill, SC, entered into rest Wednesday, May 11th, 2011. Born in Batesburg, SC, he was a son of the late Osborne and Iva Davis Bryant. He had been a resident of Cross Hill since 1996. He retired from the United States Navy. Following his retirement from the Navy he began his career with Davis Electric and retired as a Foreman after thirty-eight years of service. A true patriot, he loved his country and especially the United States Navy. He was a member of the Fleet Reserves, the American Legion, ANA, AMVETS, USS Intrepid Association, USS Hancock Association, USS Yorktown Association, USS Essex Association and the USS Randolph Association. Every year he looked forward to the USS Intrepid reunion and was at the reunion in Myrtle Beach a week before his death. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Vaucluse. In addition to his parents, family members include a sister, Nancy Lott, Aiken, SC and her children, Caroline Woodward, Aiken, SC, Myra Lott Parrish, North Augusta, SC and Eugene Lott, Graniteville, SC; nieces, Lisa Castle, Edgefield, SC, Mary Bryant, Grovetown, GA and Anita Bryant, Grovetown, GA. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, May 14th, 2011, at 1 o'clock in the chapel. Interment with veterans honors accorded by the United States Navy Honor Guard will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Graniteville, SC.
