AIKEN, S.C. - Funeral services for Mr. McKinley C. Harrison will be held 11:00 AM Friday, May 13, 2011 (Viewing 10 AM- 11 AM) at the Mount Anna Baptist Church, Aiken with Rev. Maurice S. Porter officiating. Interment will be in the Mount Anna-Mount Harris Cemetery. Mr. Harrison, 50, a native of Aiken County died Saturday, May 7, 2011. He was a son of the late Rev. Joseph S. Harrison, Sr. and the late Mrs. Gertrude Vaughn Harrison. He was educated within the Aiken County Public School District and graduated from Aiken High School in 1979. He later enlisted in the U.S. Army Reserves. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Joe Henry and Lester Leroy Harrison. He is survived by his son, Javon Justice, Gaithersburg, MD; a daughter, Shanara (Lee) Guinn, Essex, MD; a granddaughter, Giavanni Guinn; three sisters, Thelma (Kenny) Robinson, Aiken, Lucy (Leroy) Mackie, Augusta, GA and Joanne (Oliver) Lamkin, North Augusta; two brothers, Rev, Joseph S. Harrison, Jr., Aiken and Arnold (Amy) Harrison, Sr., Augusta, GA; two sisters-in-law, Chanda D. Harrison, Lithonia, GA and Vera F. Harrison, Aiken; a stepmother, Edna G. Harrison; a stepsister, Gladys Myrick; a stepbrother, Joe Simmons, all of Williston. Friends may call the residence of his sister, Thelma (Kenny) Robinson, 4562 Vaucluse Rd., between the hours of 2PM-8PM daily or at the funeral home.
