AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Theresa Wilhelmina Burleigh White entered into rest on Tuesday, April 26, 2011, in Augusta Gardens Nursing Facility. She was the wife of the late Mr. Graham H. White. Being reared and nurtured in a Christian home, she was active and involved in all aspects of Christian activities. Theresa graduated from Morris Brown College and received a Masters degree from Atlanta University School of Social Work. Mrs. White's professional career included employment by The National Field Staff of Girl Scouts of the U.S.A., New York, New York and the Council of Community Services, Chicago, ILL.. She was a member of The Top Ladies of Distinction and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority. She leaves to mourn her loss, a loving and devoted sister, Mrs. Gwendolyn K. Butler, Americus, GA.; nephews, Chambliss R. Wiggins, Dublin, Ga., William R. Mahone, Craig R. Wilson, Macon, Ga.; devoted great niece, Gwenkeisha Wiggins, Americus, Ga., extended family, Mr.andMrs. Richard Holland, Ms. Jan Lewis, Mrs. Charotte Watkins, and the Belle Terrance Presbyterian Church family. Funeral services will be 2:00pm, Thursday, April 28, 2011, at Belle Terrace Presbyterian Church, 2454 Golden Camp Road, with Reverend Melvin Lowry, officiating. Interment will follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery. Mrs. White may be viewed today (Wednesday), April 27, 2011, from 3 to 6:00pm at Kinsey(s)and(s)Walton Funeral Home, 3618 Peach Orchard Road, Augusta.
