HARLEM, Ga. - Marland (George) Michael Ferguson, Sr., 71, husband of Deborah Ferguson, passed in the comfort of his home on April 26, 2011. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, April 29, 2011, in the Bellevue Memorial Gardens Chapel, Grovetown, Georgia, with military honors. Mr. Ferguson was born in Decatur, Ga., to the late Marland and Eleanor Ferguson. He was a Navy veteran and retired after 30 years of Civil Service at Fort Gordon. Survivors include his wife of 23 years, Deborah Ferguson; daughter LeNae Ferguson (Tommy); son Marland Michael Ferguson, Jr. (Sarah); stepdaughters, Tifffany Perdahci (Murat), Melissa Gravitt (Charles); brother Robert (Skip) Ferguson (Janet); sister Cidney Ferguson; Grandchildren Amanda, Alexander Deal (Anna), Marland Michael Ferguson, III (Jackie), Janus Ferguson, Monir Sabia, Kadin Sabia; Great-grandchildren Christopher Allen Denton, Marland Michael Ferguson, IV; nieces Kristine Fink and Julie Ferguson; He was preceded in death by his parents and step daughter Allison Nicole Nunley.
