AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mr. Vicente Pedraza, 88, of Augusta, Georgia passed away, Wednesday, February 16, 2011. Mr. Pedraza served for over thirty years in the United States Army, including WWII, Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War. He was a member of Knights of Columbus and actively involved with the DAV. Mr. Pedraza was preceded in death by his loving wife, Blanca Torres Pedraza; daughter, Lydia Harris; great-granddaughter, Tina Miller; and great-great grandson, Grayson Mejias. He is survived by his two daughters, Maria Fountain and Jacqueline (Mark) Cleveland; two sons, Vicente (Kathy) Pedraza, Jr. and Hector (Beverly) Pedraza; 23 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Marina Torres; and nephew, Angel Pedraza. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 PM, Friday at the funeral home with a Vigil Service at 6 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 1 PM, Saturday, February 19, 2011 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with FatherThabbeus Kiwera. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
