Celia F. McWee (AUGUSTA, Ga.)

AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Celia F. McWee, 86, of Augusta, Georgia passed away Monday, February 14, 2011. "Mrs. Mac", as she was known by her customers, retired after over thirty years of service at Friedman's Jewelers. She was also an activist for NCADP, and a member of Journey of Hope and Murder Victims Families for Reconciliation. Celia is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Royce F. McWee, Sr.; daughter, Joyce Gloria Brown; and son, Jerry Bridwell McWee, Sr. She is survived by her son, Royce F. McWee, Jr.; brothers, Victor (Emma) Garcia, Willie Garcia, Sr., Richard Garcia and Benjamin Garcia; sister, Nana Lopez; ten grandchildren; and fifteen great-grandchildren and special friend, William "Bill" Kennedy. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6 until 8PM at the funeral home with a Rosary Service at 6 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 12:15 PM, Friday, February 18, 2011 at Church of the Most Holy Trinity. Pallbearers will be Royce F. McWee, III, Jerry B. McWee, Jr., John H. Brinson, Ashley L. Bradley, Zachary A. Bradley, Brian A. Orzechowski, Preston B. McWee, and Elizabeth R. Atkins. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
