NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. - Mrs. Jewell Mae Weathersbee Brantley, 83, of North Augusta, SC, beloved wife of sixty-three years to the late Mr. Joe Allen and #39;A.J. and #39; Brantley, entered into rest Monday, January 24th, 2011, at her home with her family at her bedside. Born in and a lifelong resident of Aiken County, SC, she was a daughter of the late John M. and #39;Red and #39; and Leila Mae Slayton Weathersbee. She retired from Carole Fabrics where she was a Supervisor with over twenty-five years of service. A devout Christian, she was a member of Hillview Baptist Church and a former member of Langley Pentecostal Holiness Church. She loved singing and listening to Gospel music. She was a loving Christian example to all. Her greatest passion was spending time with her family of which she was the Matriarch. In addition to her parents and husband, family members include daughters, Marvis Baynham, (the late Byron) and Trudie Mixon, (Billy) both of North Augusta, SC; sisters, Pat Guglieri, (Paul) Langley, SC, Linda Owens, (Fred) North Augusta, SC and Mary Wilson, (Jerry) Evans, GA, brother, the late Charles Weathersbee, grandchildren, Patti Levins, (Brian) Britt Baynham, (Erin) and Scott Baynham, all of North Augusta, SC and a great-granddaughter, Savannah Baynham, numerous nieces and nephews, as well as loving dedicated caregivers, Lorraine Abney, Betty Abney and Esther Pierpont. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Thursday, January 27th, 2011, at noon at Hillview Baptist Church, Graniteville, SC, with Dr. Ronald Moore and Rev. Jerry Tucker officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Graniteville, SC. Pallbearers will be Britt Baynham, Scott Baynham, Tommy Brantley, Todd Brantley, Tim Brantley and Fred and #39;Terry and #39; Ennis. Brian Levins will serve as honorary pallbearer. Friends may call at the family residence. The family has asked that memorials be made to Hillview Baptist Church, 1974 Jefferson Davis Hwy., Graniteville, SC 29829.
