AIKEN, S.C. - Mrs. Marion D. Jones, age 77 of 327 Chesterfield Street entered into rest on Wednesday, December 5, 2011 at Aiken Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Jones was born in Aiken, SC on July 31, 1933. She was the daughter of the late George Mason and Malinda G. Williams. She graduated from Allen University in Columbia, SC. She retired from Westinghouse Savannah River Site after 26 years of service. She was a substitute teacher for the Aiken County School District for 13 years. She was a loving mother and shall be deeply missed by her family, friends and all whose lives she touched during the 77 years God granted her on this earth. Mrs. Jones was a faithful member of Cumberland African Methodist Episcopal Church where she served as a Steward, Trustee, Treasurer of the Trustee Building Fund, Treasurer of the Steward Board, member of Stewardess Board Number 2, a member of the Sunday School, Pulpit Aid Board and Treasurer of the Pine Lawn Cemetery Historical Preservation Committee. Survivors include her son, Clarke (Patricia) Jones, Aiken, SC; her guardianship son, Lester Hollingsworth of the home; four grandchildren, Kelbi Jones, Charlotte, NC, Douglas White, Bellevue WA, Marcus White, Charlotte, NC, and Tia (Michael) Smith, Augusta, Ga.; three great grandchildren, Mikah and Zoe White and Savannah Smith. Special friends: Betty Holloway, Sidney and Linda Gray, a host of other cherished relatives and friends. Funeral arrangements will be announced. The family will receive friends at the residence of Mrs. Jones, 327 Chesterfield Street, Aiken, S.C. Miller's Funeral Home, 136 Kershaw Street, SE, Aiken, SC
