AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Sarah Rachel Wilborne Goodwin, of Greene Street, entered into rest on Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at The Place at Martinez among family and friends. A memorial service was held on Sunday, November 28, 2010. Sally was born in Virgilina, VA on April 27, 1925 to the late Anna Mae Tuck and Lynn Bernard Wilborne. On August 16, 1947 she married Carroll McClain Goodwin in Richmond, VA. The couple moved with the DuPont Co. from Virginia, Delaware, Kentucky, and ultimately to the CSRA where they resided since 1951. She is survived by her son, John Wilborne Goodwin (Deborah) and their children, J. Crist Floyd (Matt) and John McClain Goodwin all of Columbia, SC; and her daughter, Mary Ann Mitchell (the late George Hains "Yacht") of Augusta, GA. Sally will be dearly missed for her love of life and family, her wonderful cooking talents and great entertaining skills. The family wishes to express thanks to special friend, Marino Pelosi; the family of Wanda and Mike Attaway; caregivers, Andrea, Melonie, Colette, Chinnika and Katherine for their constant love and care; also to Trinity Hospice for continuously providing guidance through the ravages of Parkinson's Disease.
