NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Mrs. Margaret (Maggie) Mattison, 88, of 124 Guillebeau Avenue, Lincolnton, entered into rest November 17, 2010 at the Alive Hospice Residence in Nashville, TN. Funeral services will be held at 1:00PM on Saturday, November 20, 2010 from the Lincolnton Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the McCormick City Cemetery in McCormick, SC. Grandsons and grandsons-in-law will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will precede the services from 10:00 to 11:30AM at the funeral home. Mrs. Mattison, a native of McCormick County, SC, had resided in Lincolnton since 1986 having moved here from Shelby, NC. She was an administrative secretary for many years and most recently had retired as the Deputy Clerk for the City of Lincolnton. She was a faithful member of the Lincolnton Baptist Church for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband James Frank Mattison, Jr. Survivors: Daughter: Peggy Mattison Peeler and husband Phil of Hermitage, TN; Sons: James Frank Mattison, III and wife Jane of Lincolnton, GA, Samuel Thomas Mattison and wife Martha of Richmond, VA; Brothers: John (Buck) Franklin, of McCormick, SC, Jim Franklin, of San Antonio, TX; Sister-in-law: Mary Franklin, McCormick, SC; 8 Grandchildren; 9 Great- grandchildren.
