AUGUSTA, Ga. - Kathryn Alis Lamb, "Miss Kitty," passed away on Wednesday, November 10, 2010. A memorial service will be held at The Church of the Good Shepherd at 4:00 PM on Saturday, November 13, 2010 with the Very Reverend Robert D. Fain officiating. Kitty was the daughter of the late Ann and Dewey Walter of Kansas City, MO. She is survived by her brother, Richard Walter of Springfield, MO, her daughter Patti Ann Smith and son-in-law Dr. Greg Smith of Augusta, GA, her son Pete Lamb and daughter-in-law Brenda Lamb also of Augusta, GA, her niece Karen McJunkin of The Woodlands, TX, six grandchildren, two great granddaughters and one great niece. With her sister Betsy and brother Dick, Kitty was a member of the Kansas City Kiddies Review, sharing her musical talents at a young age with audiences across Missouri and Kansas. She graduated from the Kansas City Conservatory of Music at 16, received her BA from Kansas University and her Masters of Music from the University of South Carolina. Her greatest joy stemmed from her part in establishing Davidson Fine Arts School. Throughout her career in music, Kitty touched thousands of lives, and always brought out the best in students, colleagues, friends and family members.
