AUGUSTA, Ga. - Ted Coleman Stewart, Sr., 77, husband of the late Joyce Powell Stewart, entered into rest, Sunday, October 31, 2010, at Trinity Hospital. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, November 3, at 12:30 p.m., from Hillcrest Memorial Park, with Dr. Bobby Coleman officiating. Family and friends are requested to assemble at the grave. Mr. Stewart, son of the late James Hoyle and Lura Austin Stewart, was born in Wingate, NC. He was a firefighter for 28 years with the Augusta Fire Department. He was a member of Cornerstone Fellowship. He played baseball for the Battey Post, was an avid golfer and a fan of University of Georgia sports. He is survived by his son, Ted Stewart, Jr., of Augusta; his daughter, Cheryle Rollins, of Augusta; grandchildren, George Stewart, Traci Ellis, Kristy Ash, and Ashley Rollins; and great grandchildren, Dylan Ash, and Chandler Ash.
