THOMSON, Ga. - Mrs. Myrtle P. Rabun, 90, widow of Mr. John Robert Rabun, of Mt. Pleasant Road, died Sunday, October 17, 2010, in the McDuffie Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 20, in the Zoar United Methodist Church with the Rev. Mike Defore & Rev. Sam Collins officiating. Burial will be in the Zoar United Methodist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Rabun was a native of Warren Co., but had lived in Thomson for many years. She had retired from the Thomson Company and was a homemaker. She was a member of Zoar United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the Adult Sunday School Class. Survivors include her two daughters, Martha (Jim) Rivers, Stapleton; Frankie (Warren) Kitchens, Thomson; her four sons, John T. (Laura) Rabun, Ronnie Rabun, and Jimmie T. (Judy) Rabun, all of Thomson; Timmy (Wanda) Rabun, Matthews; her sister, June (Ray) Hunnicutt, Stapleton; 12 grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Mark Rivers, Jeff Kitchens, Carl C. Bowen, Shaun Hayes, Johnny Kitchens, Sammy Purvis, and Chris Hawkins. Donations may be made to the Zoar United Methodist Church, or to a Charity of Choice Friends may call at the residence of Frankie & Warren Kitchens, Quail Farm Rd. or at the Curtis Funeral Home.
