NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - Mrs. Lois "Molly" J. Murphy, 83 entered into rest on Thursday, September 2, 2010 at her home. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at Hampton Memorial Gardens in Virginia. Molly was the widow of James H. Murphy and the daughter of the late Ruby Carrie Hannah and Charles Emmett Williams, Sr. of Avery, GA. Molly spent much of her life in Hampton and Newport News, VA. Molly is survived by her son, Eric C. Smith; a sister, Jackie Cameron of Augusta; her brother, James E. Williams, Sr. of Summerville, SC; and her three granddaughters and a number of nieces and nephews. Molly was preceded in death by her two sisters, Edris Chase and Patricia Williams; her two brothers, Charles and Bill Williams.
