MONTICELLO, Ga. - Quincy Oneal Miller, age 83, died Saturday, August 28, 2010, at UNI Health in North Augusta, South Carolina. Q.O. Miller was born in Augusta, Georgia to the late Ohlen Louis Miller and Ellie M. Holley Miller. He served in the U.S. Army in the Pacific during World War II. After his was discharged from the military he returned to Augusta where he was employed as an electrician over the course of 27 years with both Carter Electric Company and Ireland Electric Company. He was a resident of Monticello, Georgia since 1972. He is preceded in death by daughter, Sandra M. Clegg. Also, 2 sisters, Pauline and Elizabeth, 3 brothers, Charles Lindy Miller, George 'Jack' Miller, and O. Louis Miller preceded him in death. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Allen E. and Wanda Miller of Augusta; daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Lee Simmons of Monticello; grandchildren, Joy Miller, Jim Miller, Heather Simmons, Ashley Simmons, Claude Miller and Crystal Thacker; Laura Goff and Brock Goff; and 3 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at Shiloh Baptist church, 142 Post Road, Jasper County, Georgia on Saturday, September 4, 2010, at 10:00 A.M.
