EVANS, Ga. - Mrs. Bennie B. "Hon" Phillips, 81, entered into rest on Tuesday, August 31, 2010, at The Place at Martinez. Graveside services and interment will be held at 10:00 am, tomorrow Saturday, September 4, 2010 at Hillcrest Memorial Park, with Chaplain Finley Limehouse, of Regency Hospice, officiating. Mrs. Phillips was a native of Augusta, GA and was the daughter of the late Benjamin T. and Iva Ulm Martin. She is survived by her husband, of 57 years, William H. Phillips, six sons, William H. Phillips, Jr., James M. Phillips, Larry S. Phillips, Robert E. Phillips, Michael P. Phillips and Byron Shaw, one daughter, Karen D. Phillips, eleven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. The family will receive friends, this evening Friday, September 3, 2010, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, at Platt's Belair Road. Friends and family are asked to meet at Hillcrest Memorial Park, 2700 Deans Bridge Rd., Augusta, GA 30906, for the service.
