AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mr. O. D. Colvin of Smoketree Road entered into rest on Monday, August 23, 2010 at the V. A. Medical Center . Funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 28, 2010 at 3 p.m. at Solid Rock Baptist Church, Appling, with Rev. Robert Donaldson officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery with full military honors. Mr. Colvin, a native of Eutaw, AL, was retired as Staff Sergeant from the U. S. Army after twenty years of service. He was a member of Solid Rock Baptist Church. Survivors are his wife, Ethel Mae Colvin; daughters, Lorene McClattie, Elisabeth Lambert, Augusta, Sylvia Lambert, Gary, IN; sons, Larry Lambert, Meridan, MS, Johnny Lambert, Augusta, Melvin Lambert, Hinesville, GA; two sisters, Louise Spencer, Fitchburg, MA, Ardelia Colvin, Eutaw, AL; three devoted granddaughters, Iyuanna McClattie, Zyaisa McClattie; and a host of other grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
