AUGUSTA, Ga. - James Norman Vinson, Sr., 90 of 2003 Warren Street, died Tuesday, August 10, 2010 at Windemere Nursing Care Facility in Augusta. Graveside services will be held at 11:00am, Friday, August 13 in the Greenwood Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will precede the services from 9:30-10:30 at the funeral home. Mr. Vinson , a native of Wilkes County, Georgia, was a retired radio announcer having worked in both Washington and Macon. He also was a newspaper publisher in North Carolina. He resided in Lincolnton for some time prior to moving to Augusta thirteen years ago and was a member of Morningside Baptist Church. Mr. Vinson was predeceased by his first wife, Lillian Vinson. Survivors: Wife: Cleo Howard Vinson. Sons: Rev. Joey Vinson & wife, Cindy of Augusta. James N.
