WAYNESBORO, Ga. - Mrs. Eunice James Hickman 83, died Sunday, August 8, 2010 at Brentwood Terrace Health Center. Mrs. Hickman was born in Tattnall County and was a lifelong resident of Waynesboro. She was a member of Rosemont Heights Baptist Church and the Sunshine Sunday School Class. Mrs. Hickman was well known for Baking and for her layered Chocolate Cakes. She was preceded in death by her husband John Albert Hickman. Surviving are; her son, Ellis J. Hickman and wife Karen of Martinez, her daughters, Deloris Torrens and husband Richard of Waynesboro and Janet Chance and husband Lynn of Waynesboro; her sister, Evelyn Sprout of Hephzibah and seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Tuesday, August 10, 2010 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Joiner-Anderson-Saxon Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, August 11, 2010 at 11 a.m. in the Joiner-Anderson-Saxon Chapel with the Reverend Keith Alderman officiating. Burial will be in Burke Memorial Gardens.
