THOMSON, Ga. - Mrs. Alice T. Osborne, 86, widow of Mr. Wayne E. Osborne, of Pinedale Road, died Sunday, August 8, 2010, at her residence. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, August 11, in the Sweetwater Baptist Church with Rev. Grant Cantrell officiating. Burial will be in Westview Cemetery. Mrs. Osborne was a native of Washington County, but had lived in Thomson for many years. She was a homemaker and had worked at the Thomson Co. and Garland. She was a member of the Sweetwater Baptist Church. She was a loving Mother and Grandmother, who loved her grandchildren very much. She also loved to cook. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne E. Osborne and two sons, Wiley and Warren Osborne. Survivors include her four daughters, Alice Griffin, Ashville, N.C. Donna K. Clarke, Hephzibah, Charlene Brown, Thomson, and Karen Osborne Thomson; her three sons, Wayne Osborne Jr., Wade Osborne, and Darwin Osborne, all of Thomson; 14 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Steve Griffin, Michael Griffin, Buddy Dallas, Ronnie Miller, Derick Martin, and Billy Ray Owens. Friends may call at the residence or at the Curtis Funeral Home.
