AUGUSTA, Ga. - Rev. Robert C. Herrington, Sr. of Grape Avenue entered into rest on Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at Doctors Hospital . Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 3, 2010 at 12 noon at Good Shepherd Baptist Church with Rev. Clarence Moore officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Olive Memorial Garden. Rev. Herrington, a native of Sardis, GA, was retired from the Maintenance Department of Richmond County Board of Education. He was pastor and founder of Greater Love Baptist Church. Survivors are his wife, Bernice Herrington; son, Robert C. (Charmaine) Herrington, Jr., Augusta; daughters, Jacqueline Bracely, Waynesboro, GA, Sabrina (Tony) Robinson, Johnston, SC, Tennille Kikki Butler, Aiken, SC; stepson, Jeffrey Sanders, Chicago, IL; stepdaughter, Mabel (Guy) Heath, Grovetown, GA; brothers, Bishop Charles (Emma) Herrington, Augusta, Apostle James Timothy (Lucy) Herrington, Granada, MS; sisters, Susie McKnight, Thelma (Richard) Kelly, Mildred Herrington, Lois Herrington, Ruth (David) Williams, Augusta, Ruby McClary, Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Elizabeth Wiley, Granada, MS; twenty one grandchildren; three great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Ruth (Willie) Bradshaw, Newark, NJ, Eugene (Elizabeth) Hunt, Willie James Hunt, Augusta; godsister, Henry Bell Roberts, Sardis; and a host of other relatives.
