AUGUSTA, Ga. - Entered into rest Friday, July 30, 2010, Mrs. Gracie Lee (Foreman) Washington of Roosevelt Drive. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. from Moses Missionary Baptist Church, 112 Walker Street with Reverend Dr. J.R. Hatney (her son) officiating. Interment will be at Cedar Grove Cemetery. Mrs. Washington was a cook at Fort Gordon for many years. She was a faithful member of Moses Missionary Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Leroy Washington, Sr., Augusta; seven children, one child preceded her in death (Mary Hatney); four sons, Dr. J.R. (Joyce) Hatney, Rev. Willie E. (Margaret) Hatney, Jr., Milwaukee, WI, Daniel W. Hatney and Charlie Hatney, both of Augusta, GA; two surviving daughters, Deloise (Michael) Trotty and Emmogene Battle, both of Hephzibah, GA; one brother, Charlie (Catherine) Brown, Winston-Salem, NC; 15 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren, six step-children, Edith (John) Corley, Janice (Keith) Ford, Leroy Washington, Jr., Deborah (Michael) Rose, Elizabeth Ann W. Dunbar and Cynthia D. Sims and a host of other relatives and friends. Friends may call the Washington and Trotty residence or W.H.
