BATH, S.C. - Mr. Ottis L. 'Mitch' Mitchell, 90, of Bath, SC, husband of the late Loberta Goss Mitchell and son of the late Minnick and Lessie Mitchell entered into rest Wednesday, July 28th, 2010. Mr. Mitchell was born in and a lifelong resident of Aiken County, SC and for thirty years he was the owner of G & M Market, Bath, SC. A World War II Veteran, he proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was a member of Bath First Baptist Church, where he was a member of the Joy Group. Prior to his health declining, Mr. Mitchell was a very active member of the Midland Valley Lions Club, L.B.C. American Legion Post #153, the Valley Empty Stocking Fund and the former Bath Masonic, now the Horsecreek Masonic Lodge. He also enjoyed a round of golf at Midland Valley Country Club. He is survived by several nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, July 31st, 2010, at 2 o'clock at Hatcher Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Langley, SC, with Mr. Ronnie Duncan officiating. Interment with veterans honors accorded by the United States Army Honor Guard will follow in Windsor Baptist Church Cemetery, Windsor, SC.
