NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - Mary Martin Robertson, 92, passed away Tuesday, July 27, 2010 in Virginia. She was a native of Richmond County, Georgia, and was the daughter of the late Walter R. and Emmie Watkins Martin. She retired from AAFES (PX) at Fort Eustis and was a member of Warwick Chapter #43 of the Eastern Star and Clifford Memorial Presbyterian Church, Grovetown, Georgia. Mary was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother who loved to cook for her family and was an avid lover of animals. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Marian Schiller, her sisters, Nita Raborn and Anne Wise; and her brother, Ben Martin. Survivors include her husband of 32 years, Kenneth (Robbie) Robertson; her children, Virginia Hamm of El Paso, Texas, Wayne Robertson, Susan Faircloth, David Robertson, Gary Robertson and Steve Robertson; 13 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, 16 great-great grandchildren; a brother, W. R. Martin; a number of nieces and nephews and extended family. Funeral Services in will be held at Clifford Memorial Presbyterian Church 10 am Tuesday, August 3, 2010, by Pastors Gerald McNutt and Tony Henderson. Burial will be in Pine Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, Hephzibah, Georgia. Mrs. Robertson will lie in state one hour prior to the service. Pallbearers will include her grandsons.
