LANGLEY, S.C. - Mrs. Grace Elizabeth Timmerman Patterson, 96, of Langley, SC, wife of the late Lester Murray 'Jack' Patterson and daughter of the late William Albert and Patia Yaun Timmerman, entered into rest Wednesday, July 28th, 2010. Born in Stiefeltown, SC, she had lived in Graniteville, before she relocated to Langley, in 1928. She was a very active member of Langley First Baptist Church, Langley, where she was a member of the Faithful Workers Sunday School Class, the adult Sunday school class and the AT and TW Circle. Mrs. Patterson was also a member of the Daughters of America Valley Star Chapter #29, the Triple 'L' Senior Citizens Club and the Graniteville Leisure Club. She retired from the Aiken County Sheriff's Department where she was formerly a Dispatcher and a Matron at the jail. In addition to her husband and parents, family members include a son, the late William Lester Patterson, Aiken, SC; daughter the late Judy Patterson McGee, daughter-in-law, Katy Edgin Patterson, Aiken, SC; grandchildren, First Sergeant William Kim Patterson, Tampa, FL, Randall Mark Patterson, Aiken, SC and Pamela Patterson, (Steve) Aiken, SC; great-grandchildren, Amber Patterson Johnston, (John) Megan Patterson, SPC. Jack Patterson, United States Army, Morgan Matthews and great-great-grandchildren, Preston Thomas Sinclair and Kinsley Elizabeth Johnston. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, July 31st, 2010, at 11 o'clock at Hatcher Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Langley, SC, with Pastor Ken Garvin officiating. Interment will follow in Langley Cemetery, Langley, SC. Pallbearers will be the Honorable Carl Insley, Farrell Ivey, Danny Jenkins, Ira Dell Goodwin and Bob Krepps. The family would like to say a special 'Thank You' to the employees of Pepperhill Nursing Home & Rehabilitation Center for the loving care provided to Mrs. Patterson.
