THOMSON, Ga. - Mrs. Shirley W. Phillips, 65, widow of Mr. William Phillips, of Mt. Pleasant Road, died Tuesday, July 27, 2010, at her residence. Funeral services will be at 5 p.m. Friday, July 30, in the Little Brier Creek Baptist Church with Dr. Randy Dunaway and Rev. Tim Ferrell officiating. Burial will be in Westview Cemetery. Mrs. Phillips was a native of Wilkes County, but had lived in McDuffie County for many years. She was retired from the Thomson Company and attended Little Brier Creek Baptist Church. Survivors include her two daughters, Mrs. Ree Walker and Mrs. Chrissy Zimmerman, both of Thomson; her son, Jeff Phillips, Thomson; her sister, Carrie Cato, Grovetown; and her 9 grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Bobby Gene Hadden, Donnie Hadden, Travis Hadden, Obie Morris, Charles Morris, and Derek Hoyle. Friends may call at the residence or at the Curtis Funeral Home.
