FERNANDINA BEACH, Fla. - Ms. Ida Alberta Sanders (Williams) departed this life as gracefully as she had lived on Monday, July 26, 2010. Born in Moncks Corner, South Carolina; she was the second of three children born to Fred and Rebecca Carter Sanders. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband and the father of her children, Lewis T. Williams of Fernandina Beach, Florida, her sister, Mary Sanders, and her brother, Sidney Sanders. Ms. Sanders leaves behind her four children, Jacquelyn McGrady (Johnnie), Marion Patterson, Nelson Williams and Shirley Faison, her sixteen grandchildren, Frederica McGrady, Gwendolyn McGrady, Sonya McGrady, Wanda Bunton (Raymond), Monique Jones (Cedric), Michael Patterson (Lucy), Nelson Williams, Jr. (Jasmine), Selethia Knight (Frank), Nelson William, Jr. (Rhonda), Kevin McNeil, Victor Lockett, Dwayne Peterson (Linda), Wayne Peterson, Rebecca Johnson, Nkenge Faison, Tene Faison, her forty one great grandchildren, a host of great great grandchildren and her nieces, Wanda Faye Sanders, Mary Sanders and Sylvia Sanders. Her family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 pm on Friday at the Oxley Heard Funeral Home, Fernandina Beach, Florida. Funeral services will follow on Saturday at 11:00 am from the Burgess Chapel of Oxley Heard. Ms. Sanders will be laid to rest beside her mother in the family section of Bosque Bello Cemetery, Fernandina Beach. Lastly, her family would like to thank her precious caregivers, Jerry and Didi who helped Ms. Sanders survive with grace and dignity.
