Walter 'Bo' Standridge (WASHINGTON, Ga.)

WASHINGTON, Ga. - Mr. Walter 'Bo' Standridge, 71, died Monday at University Hospital. Mr. Standridge was a native of Wilkes County and had lived there all of his life. He was the widower of Martha Foster Standridge and the son of the late Hubert and Myrtle Pullen Standridge. He was a retired loom maintenance technician in the textile industry and was a Navy veteran, serving from 1955-1959. He was a member of VFW Post #5899, where he was a former Post Commander and where he served as Quarter Master. Graveside services will be Thursday, July 15, 2010, at 11 a.m. at the Washington-Wilkes Memorial Garden with Rev. Daniel Fernandez officiating. He is survived by three sons, Buddy Standridge (Judy) of Braselton, Mike Standridge (Karen) of Flowery Branch, and Doug Standridge (Lori) of Washington; one daughter, Carol Howard (Eddie) of Rayle; one sister, Peggy Johnson of Fortsonia; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.
