NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. - Mrs. Lucinda Coleman Hammond, 85, of Crestlyn Dr., entered into rest July 4, 2010 at the Golden Living Center of Augusta. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, July 10, 2010 at North Augusta Baptist Church with the Rev. Martin Ryan officiating. Entombment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens and Mausoleum. Mrs. Hammond, a native of Ward, SC was a member of north Augusta Baptist Church where she served on the usher's ministry, deaconess ministry and other ministries. Survivors include a son, the Rev. Gary (Patsy) Hammond; three granddaughters, Tawanda (Rev. Jessie) Baitmon, Benita Hammond and Pamela Hammond; four devoted nieces, Ida Culbreath, Bettye Allen, Julia (John) Jones and Doris Foreman; a devoted nephew, Preston (Lucy) Madison; a goddaughter, Carolyn (Albert) Nabritt; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m. today at the funeral home. Friends may call at the residence of her son, 5170 old Cherokee Drive, Clearwater, SC. G.L.
