AUGUSTA, Ga. - Jordan J. Griner, 24, entered into rest on Saturday June 19, 2010 in Atlanta, Georgia. Jordan was the designated driver following a party and was killed by an intoxicated driver just minutes from his home. Survivors include his parents, Toni and Autumn Denell Griner; fianc and love of his life, Kristi Brenenborg; sisters and brother-in- law, Tammy Griner Horne and husband Richard Horne II and Chelsi Autumn Griner; two nieces, Tiffany Beatty and Maci McDonald; nephew, Christopher McDonald; two great nephews, Tripp and Tristen Beatty; Kristi's family who loved him as their own: parents, Penny and Gary Brenenborg; brother, Eric Brenenborg; and grandmother, Alberta Moore. Jordan was a 2004 graduate of Cross Creek High School. He graduated from the University of Georgia in 2008 where he proudly served on the Judiciary Committee. He was a bright and talented young man who served as a fellow to the Office of the Governor in Constituent Services, working directly with Governor Perdue in numerous capacities. He eagerly participated in volunteer activities and had a love for animals. Jordan was loved by everyone and worked his way into the heart of anyone he met; his beautiful sparkling blue eyes will always be remembered. Jordan was the perfect son and best brother anyone could ever ask for. Funeral Services will be held 3 PM, Wednesday in the Lumpkin Road Chapel of Elliott Sons Funeral Home with Rabbi Don Lansing officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Rick Horne II, Christopher McDonald, Jimmy Beatty II, Eric Brenenborg, Patrick Smith, and Brendon DelToro. Memorial contributions may be made to The Humane Society of the United States, 2100 L St. NW, Washington, D.C. 20037, in Jordan's memory.
