HARLEM, Ga. - John (Jay) H. Willis, 62, entered into rest May 5, 2010 at Doctors Hospital, Augusta, Georgia. Mr. Willis is preceded in death by his father, Col. O. W. Willis and mother, Rubye Willis. He is survived by one brother, Michael (Candace) Willis, Grovetown; three sisters, Cynthia (Joseph) Lanford, Marie (Davey) Story and Jennifer (Kevin) Tschida all of Harlem. He is remembered lovingly by six nieces, three nephews and twelve great nieces and nephews. Mr. Willis was a long-time patron of the arts. He served as Executive Director of the Augusta Players, visiting lecturer at ASU and Augusta Tech. His contributions to Fort Gordon Dinner Theater, Washington Little Theater and many others will be remembered by many. He was currently the devoted Director of Outreach Services at St. Stephen's Ministry of Augusta. Memorials may be made to St. Stephen's Ministry, P. O. Box 2044, Augusta, GA 30903.
